Job Description

We are currently seeking a talented individual to be our Lead Process Engineer in the Technology Dept. located in Alvin, Texas.  This role is a “working supervisor” with strong leadership skills and solid experience in process design and capital project development.  Successful candidates will have strong technical abilities and a proven track record of delivering results and significant achievements.

This role will lead a group of process & control engineers to provide the design for projects which increase capacity, yields & energy efficiency for Ascend's Chemicals processes.  The position reports to the Manager of Process Engineering and is also responsible for the career development and performance management of subordinates.

Desired Skills & Experience


  • B.S. in Chemical Engineering.  M.S. in Chemical Engineering is a plus. 
  • 10-15 years as a process engineer with a major regional or global chemical or petrochemical  company.  
  • Must have process design and project management experience.
  • Strong leadership skills is a must for this position.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must exhibit adaptability, flexibility, and effectiveness in handling multiple priorities simultaneously. 
  • Solid analytical and technical skills.
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent team building and motivational skills. Ability to build and lead a high performance team.
